THE ALUMINIUM SOLUTION
Every year approximately 8 million tonnes of plastic end up in our oceans. We believe that
aluminum cans are the best solution to help solve our global plastic problem. By offering an
infinitely recyclable alternative to plastic bottles, it is possible for cans of Aspiring Water to
be opened, enjoyed, recycled and back on the shelf in as little as 6 weeks.
It is estimated that plastic waste in NZ accounts for up to 20% of landfill space and less than
5% of glass makes it through the recycling process. Aluminum is more easily and efficiently
recycled than glass or plastic, using around 95% less energy and emissions than creating a
new can from raw material. So, it provides a brilliant solution which not only protects our
marine environments but also reduces our landfill impact.
Aluminum cans also have the added advantage of providing a long shelf life by protecting
products inside from light, oxygen and other factors which can affect taste and product
safety.
